The invention provides a method and system for distributing braking force to a plurality of marshalling trains. The method comprises the following steps: determining the current vehicle of a plurality of target marshalling trains; calculating the current shaft weight of each vehicle shaft of the current vehicle; distributing the braking force to each vehicle shaft of the current vehicle according to the current shaft weight of each vehicle shaft in a positive correlation mode. According to the method disclosed by the invention, the braking force is distributed to each vehicle shaft through a shaft weight compensating technology, the braking force applied to a vehicle shaft in light shaft weight is decreased according to the load decreasing capacity of the shaft weight, and the braking force applied to a vehicle shaft in heavy shaft weight is increased according to the load increasing capacity of the shaft weight, so that the braking force applied to each vehicle shaft is matched with the shaft weight of each vehicle shaft, and the purposes of optimizing adhesion utilization and ensuring that the total braking force is applied maximum are achieved.
