The invention discloses a grab driving mechanism of a grab ship unloader. The grab driving mechanism comprises a first opening/closing winding drum, a second opening/closing winding drum, a first hoisting winding drum, a second hoisting winding drum and a power source, wherein the first opening/closing winding drum and the second opening/closing winding drum are used for winding/releasing an opening/closing rope to open or close a grab; the first hoisting winding drum and the second hoisting winding drum are used for winding/releasing the opening/closing rope to hoist or descend the grab; the power source is used for providing winding/releasing powder for the opening/closing winding drums and/or the hoisting winding drums; the first opening/closing winding drum is disconnectedly connected with the first hoisting winding drum through a first clutch; and the second opening/closing winding drum is disconnectedly connected with the second hoisting winding drum through a second clutch. The accessory standardization of the grab driving mechanism is realized, the winding drums at the same side can synchronously operate, and furthermore synchronous errors of the winding drums in the synchronous operation process are reduced. The invention also discloses the grab ship unloader.
