The invention discloses a traction sheave of a lifter using a flat stretching assembly as a suspension device. The traction sheave comprises a traction sheave body, wherein a plurality of circular arc grooves extending circumferentially are formed in a traction surface of the traction sheave body and are aligned to circular arc ribs extending longitudinally on the flat stretching assembly respectively; the circular arc radius of each circular arc groove is 105%-120% of that of each circular arc rib of the flat stretching assembly. Through optimization of overall dimensions of the grooves in the surface of the traction sheave, the problems of friction between elastic materials on two sides of each circular arc rib on the flat stretching assembly and the circular arc grooves and overlarge friction coefficients are solved.
