The invention discloses a foot brake mechanism with an automatic returning function. The foot brake mechanism comprises a pedal assembly, a fixed support, a returning torsion spring and a shaft. The fixed support is formed by a left installing plate, a right installing plate and a fixed plate which are welded, and a first installing hole horizontally penetrating through the left installing plate and a second installing hole horizontally penetrating through the right installing plate are formed in the upper end of the left installing plate and the upper end of the right installing plate. A pedal rod is arranged on the pedal assembly, a limiting plate is arranged at the top end of the pedal rod, a pedal plate is arranged at the tail end of the pedal rod, a hollow shaft vertically connected with the pedal rod is arranged at the upper end of the pedal rod, and the hollow shaft is sleeved by the returning torsion spring. A first extending-out end in a hook shape and a second extending-out end in a hook shape are arranged on the returning torsion spring, the first extending-out end and the second extending-out end are each connected with the upper edge of the pedal rod and the fixed plate, and the second extending-out end is fixed. The shaft sequentially penetrates through the first installing hole, the hollow shaft and the second installing hole, and the pedal assembly can rotate around the shaft when the pedal plate is stepped down. The foot brake mechanism is simple in structure and convenient to maintain.
