The invention provides a reversing protection control method, which comprises the following steps: the current speed of the vehicle is acquired, and first condition set is generated according to the current speed; the current gear of a gearbox is acquired, and second condition set is generated according to the current gear; according to the first condition set and the second condition set, the vehicle is controlled to enter a reversing limitation mode; the opening of an accelerator pedal is acquired, and according to the opening of the accelerator pedal, torque required by an engine is acquired; and the torque required by the engine is corrected, and according to the corrected torque required by the engine, reversing control is carried out. According to the reversing protection control method, protection on pedestrians and objects outside the vehicle are more considered, and unnecessary accidents caused by error operation in the case of reversing can be avoided. The invention also provides a vehicle.
