The invention provides a vacuum boosting control system of a hybrid electric vehicle, and a control method of the vacuum boosting control system of the hybrid electric vehicle. The system comprises a vacuum sensor, a vacuum boosting control unit, a relay, a vacuum pump, an electronic stability control unit and a vacuum booster. The vacuum boosting control unit has opening thresholds and closing thresholds; the vacuum sensor is used for detecting the current vacuum degree of the vacuum booster; the vacuum boosting control unit is connected with the vacuum sensor and the electronic stability control unit; the vacuum boosting control unit is used for regulating the opening thresholds and the closing thresholds according to the speed obtained by the electronic stability control unit and performing comparison with the current vacuum degree to control openness and closeness of the vacuum pump and regulate the internal vacuum degree of the vacuum booster. According to the system, the opening thresholds and the closing thresholds are regulated through the speed of the hybrid electric vehicle to provide boosting power at different speeds, the service life of the vacuum pump can be prolonged, and the stability and driving safety of the vehicle can be improved.
