The invention discloses a discharging circuit and method for an electric automobile. The discharging circuit for the electric automobile comprises a load, a pre-charging discharging resistor and a negative electrode contactor. The pre-charging discharging resistor is in series connection with the load and is used for discharging the load; the negative electrode contactor is provided with a first gear, and when the negative electrode contactor is connected between the first end of the pre-charging discharging resistor and the negative electrode of the load through the first gear, the load discharges the pre-charging discharging resistor. According to the discharging circuit, the problem that in the correlation technology, when residual charges in a high-voltage system of the electric automobile are processed, a discharging resistor needs to be additionally arranged is solved.
