The invention belongs to the field of automobile control techniques and provides a collision avoidance system for an automobile on haze days. The collision avoidance system comprises a controller, a displayer, a front thermal imager, a rear thermal imager, a wiring harness, a brake device and a wireless signal emission device. The controller and the brake device are arranged in the front of an automobile body, the displayer is arranged before a driver, the front thermal imager, the rear thermal imager and the wireless signal emission device are arranged on the top of the automobile body, and the controller, the displayer, the front thermal imager, the rear thermal imager and the brake device are connected through the wiring harness. On haze days, the thermal imagers can monitor the distance between a front vehicle and the automobile and the distance between a rear vehicle and the automobile according to high temperature exhaust discharged from the front vehicle and the rear vehicle, so that a collision is avoided. The collision avoidance system is reasonable in design, simple in structure and suitable for optimal design of an automobile control system.
