The invention provides a traffic block port monitoring system for an urban road. The traffic block port monitoring system comprises an industrial control computer, photographing equipment, an auxiliary lamp, a ground sensing coil and a vehicle detector. The traffic block port monitoring system has the advantages that advanced equipment and software are adopted; upgrading and updating are facilitated; on the premise of guaranteeing the advanced nature, longer service life is achieved; the functions fully meet the actual demand of a user, the human-machine interface is friendly, and use, management and maintenance are facilitated; user class authority protection is provided, so that interference of human factors is effectively eliminated; by the adoption of a modular structure, high interconnection and mutual operation capacity is achieved; secondary development supports networking of an existing information system and a command center, so that expansion of the functions and the scale is facilitated.
