The invention discloses a brake structure for a safety pedal of a rail transportation platform. A brake 810 can be connected to the back of a motor 801 of the safety pedal; both the motor 801 and the brake 810 are connected with a controller; the brake 810 carries out brake control on the motor 801 in a non-operating state; when an electric signal of starting the motor 801 is received from the controller, the motor 801 is unlocked. Therefore, in a state that the pedal extends and retracts in place and the motor stops running, the motor can be locked, so that the pedal is enabled not to move back and forth. Moreover, in a state of sudden power failure, when the motor is powered off, the motor can be timely locked by the brake, the pedal is controlled to stop the extending and retracting behaviors and the pedal is enabled to be in a static state under the power failure condition and cannot extend and retract back and forth so as to guarantee the safety of passengers.
