A method for moving a vehicle (10) to a component (21) of an object (20) at a distance therefrom is described, the vehicle (10) having a navigation module (11) which has a camera (12) and an evaluation electronics (13), and an identification element (30) is attached to the object (20) in a predetermined position in such a way that it is recognized by the camera (12) in a far range (Dmax) of the vehicle (10) from the object (20), and a reverse driving line (401, 40ii, 40iii, 40a) of the vehicle (10) is calculated by the evaluation electronics (13) from the perspective position of the camera (12) in relation to the identification element (30). The object of the invention was to develop a method for improving the approach of a vehicle (10) to a stationary object (20). The object was solved in that a that a close-range (Dmin) is defined in the direction of the object (20) by a close-range radius (Rmin) and the reverse driving line (401, 40ii, 40, 40a) is calculated up to a virtual pre-positioning point (Svi, Sviii) lying on the close-range radius (Rmin).
