[Problem] To meet the need for setting operating routes that can be shared by articulated buses and single-car buses, and a method for controlling an automatedly driven articulated bus, for a bus rapid transit system in which articulated buses and single-car buses are jointly operated. [Solution] A route is set such that the trajectory of a last axle is the route regardless of whether the vehicle is a single vehicle or an articulated vehicle, thus enabling articulated vehicles having different vehicle dimensions and varying vehicle weights as passengers get on and off the vehicle to follow the route. Each vehicle is equipped with sensors that detect changes in vehicle weight, center of gravity position, and axle load. The vehicle responds to required acceleration by measuring power performance along with changes in vehicle weight and road incline, and responds to required deceleration by measuring braking performance along with changes in vehicle weight and road incline. The vehicle adapts to the wetness of the road surface and meets the need for safe control of longitudinal and lateral movements.
