New structure beneath 22-track railway yard consists of 271-ft 6-in. steel girder spans on concrete abutments and center pier; work was done in 3 track units or "cells", each featuring complete cycle of sheet pile driving, pier construction, excavation, setting of steel girders; track replacement, pile pulling and clean-up.
