Report of tests of three model anodes in wind tunnel at National Physical Laboratory, on behalf of British Shipbuilding RESEARCH Assn, in connection with fitting of anti-corrosion anodes to hull of 18,000 ton dw tanker SS San Fortunato; two of models were of same design, but one had smooth and other rough surface; third model represented second design of anode and had smooth surface; resistance was measured for each anode when positioned at various angles to stream flow; results are in form of resistance coefficients; suggested procedures for using resistance coefficients to estimate increase in ship resistance due to fitting anodes to hull are given in appendix.
