Eighteen steamships of "William Gray" class being built in three Canadian yards; length oa 327,3 ft; breadth extreme 46.4 ft; depth molded to upper deck 25.2 ft; ship fitted with two Scotch single end, cylindrical, marine type boilers, 11.5 ft long and 13.5 ft internal diam; coal fired from bunkers to both port and starboard, they carry steam pressure of 200 lb per sq in.
