Vehicles completed at Cammell Laird Works embody latest improvements and are representative of most advanced practice in steam rail cars; vehicle consists of two separate bodies mounted on three trucks, two adjacent ends being articulated on Gresley patent system; engine of six-cylinder, single-acting type, is carried below underframe of driving body, and drives on to leading truck through gearbox with spur and bevel gearing carried on front axle.
