Louisville and Nashville has recently installed interlocked automatic signaling to replace desk-lever interlocking for control of train movements over gauntlet track; automatic fire-alarm system; protection for motor-car users; control of interlocked signals; power supply; a.c. signaling on double track; separate 4400-volt single-phase power line feeds from direction up to each end of gauntlet.
