Observations of conventional methods used for gathering traffic data indicated that same data might be obtained more accurately and cheaply by means of aerial photography; to investigate this, project was carried out in New Brunswick, Canada, where portion of City of Fredericton was taken as survey area for aerial survey of traffic patterns; project confirmed that data on 10 parameters could be collected by means of aerial survey to level of accuracy acceptable for traffic surveys.
