Existing accomplishments in utilization of steam plants for ship propulsion are noted; attention is then given to possibilities for continued advancement, with reference to supercharged boiler and reheat cycle, and note on once-through boiler; considerations in selection of marine propulsion are discussed, and some comments are made on future of nuclear, gas turbine, diesel, and steam plant.
