Built by William Denny and Bros to run on any of cross channel routes; length oa 314 ft; breadth 48 ft; tonnage 3710; will carry 1400 passengers; driven by two sets of Parsons single-reduction geared turbines, developing 8500 hp and supplied with steam at 450 lb per sq in., at 750 F; steam generated by two oil fired Foster Wheeler boilers.
