Errors that may be encountered in stalling speed flight tests were found to result from four causes: pilot technique, test conditions, airplane configuration, and instrumentation; tabular breakdown is presented, with estimate of approximate order of magnitude and possibilities of correcting errors; procedure recommended for flight determination of power-off maximum lift coefficient and stalling speed.
