Hydraulically-operated bow and stern doors, controllable pitch propellers and "Flume" stabilizers are features of ferry built by Werf Gusto, N.V., and in Dover/Calais service operated by Townsend Car Ferries; length oa 354 ft, breadth 58 ft, depth to shelter deck 31 ft 9 in., draft 13 ft, passenger capacity 1000 and vehicle capacity 200; two Smit-MAN engines each develop 4000 bhp at 275 rpm.
