Operated by North Sea Ferries Ltd, London, company formed by consortium of six shipping companies in Great Britain, Germany and Holland, Norwave was built at Bremerhaven by AG Weser, Werk Seebeck and is on Hull-Rotterdam service; length oa 110 m, breadth molded 18.80 m, designed load draft 5.05 m, gross register 4200 tons; emphasis is on transport of freight, both in vehicles and in containers; 240 passengers can be carried; two Smit-Bolnes engines are each rated 2620 bhp at 300 rpm.
