Two Diesel electric vessels being built by Defoe Boat and Motor Works, Bay City, Mich; length oa 110 ft; beam molded 26 ft 5 in.; depth molded 14 ft 11 5/8 in.; main propelling plant consists of two General Motors generator sets, each comprising 600-hp, vee-type GM Diesel direct connected to 400-kw generator, with 15-kw exciter on generator shaft.
