History of application of rubber tires to transit service with emphasis on experience gained by French experiments on Paris subway system; examples of three types of monorail systems using rubber tires which have progressed to operating proto-type stages; Goodall Monorail, installed at Dallas Fair Grounds, Feb 1956; Alweg supported monorail system installed at Seattle World's Fair, 1962; French suspended monorail installed at test track near Paris; development of Los Angeles Metro System based on concept of supported dual-track, rubber tired transit vehicle, in predominantly overhead configuration.
