Westbound yard at Selkirk is made up of receiving yard of 15 tracks, classification yard of 25 tracks, and advance yard of 15 tracks; prior to installation of car retarders, car riders were used and switches were operated by General Railway Signal Co.; electric switch movements; retarders controlled from three towers; electrically operated; floodlights for carrider operation for operators in observing car numbers and speeds.
