Welded all steel ferry boat placed in service by Oregon State Highway Commission, operates between Astoria, Oregon, and Megler, Wash, on Columbia River; length oa 180 ft; beam extreme 51 ft 1 1/2 in.; depth molded 14 ft 6 in.; normal draft 8 ft 6 in.; loaded service speed 10 knots; loaded displacement 710 tons with capacity of 40 cars and 300 passengers; main engine is Model Z-6 4-cycle, 16-in. bore by 20 1/2-in. stroke, 6-cyl, Union Diesel developing 800 hp at 300 rpm.
