Description of project involving laying of two lengths of 52-conductor submarine cable, aggregating 2615 ft, across Hackensack river, 5.5 mi west of Erie Railroad passenger station at Jersey City, NJ; entire operation, from time cable was loaded on trucks at plant where it was manufactured until it was laid across river, ready for connection, required only 6 1/2 hr.
