Road black spot identification is an effective way to find potential hazardous road locations, which is very important for transportation safety. Multi-inducements, small samples and complicated aftermaths are 3 important characters for traffic accidents. Considering accidents' exact location, weather condition, peak/nonpeak hour, special events, drink-drive, casualties and economic losses, this paper proposes equivalent-multidimensional information assignment method for road black spot identification, based on multidimensional information assignment technology (MIAT) and improved accident-equivalent-number method (AENM). Advantages of this new method are validated by a simulation case, comparing with the analysis results by MIAT only and the traditional accident-number method (TANM).
