Many major issues occur from material failure, and Six Sigma presents a solution to those problems caused by poor production quality. Investigating and eliminating the causes of defects can improve the quality of the finished product and boost the productivity and profitability of a company. The objectives of this research are to improve product quality based on the lean Six Sigma methodology for the plastic injection moulding process. Following the Six Sigma steps of define, measure, analysis, improvement and control, many defects can be identified and avoided using an experimental method. Defects on plastic injection moulding products include flash defects, warpage and sink marks. An experiment was conducted to determine the optimal injection moulding process parameters at 31.79 MPa strength that could meet the yield strength standard. The Six Sigma method was proven to improve the quality of products manufactured in the plastics industry.
