The overheating of a switching element is liable to occur when the number of revolutions of a motor is zero. When the number of revolutions is zero, a current value is determined to be monotonically increased with respect to an increase in the stepping amount of an accelerator pedal in a range where the stepping amount is from 0% to predetermined amount P2. The current value is constant at limit value Ith, regardless of the stepping amount in a range where the stepping amount is from the predetermined amount P2 to 100%. So, the overheating of the switching element can be prevented.
스위칭 소자의 과열은, 모터의 회전수가 제로인 경우에 발생하기 쉽다. 회전수가 제로인 경우, 답입량이 제로%부터 소정량 P2까지는, 액셀러레이터 페달의 답입량의 증대에 대하여, 전류값이 단조 증가되도록 정해져 있다. 답입량이 소정량 P2부터 100%까지는, 답입량에 관계없이, 전류값은 제한값 Ith로 일정하다.
