To provide an elevator recovery support method and an elevator recovery support system for determining a power outage situation in an event of wide-area disaster and appropriately notifying maintenance personnel of buildings that require the maintenance personnel to be dispatched, therefore elevators can be quickly restored in the event of disaster.SOLUTION: A recovery support method of an elevator recovery support system comprises: steps (S1 to S7) of collecting disaster information and power outage information in a disaster occurrence area; steps (S8 to S13) of confirming the relation between the collected disaster information and the power outage information and determining whether or not a building requires a request of dispatching maintenance personnel based on the disaster information; steps (S14 to S16) of identifying a restored area where power has been restored based on a power recovery rate of the disaster occurrence area and/or a power failure recurrence rate; and a step (S17) of identifying the building that requires a request of dispatching the maintenance personnel in the restored area and notifying a request of dispatching the maintenance personnel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2B
