To provide a swing angle detection device that is advantageous in improving the accuracy of a swing angle to be detected.SOLUTION: A swing angle detection device 10 comprises a fixing part 11 installed on a lifting part of a crane, a wire engaging part 13 that engages with a wire rope 2 hung from the lifting part, a connecting part 12 that connects the fixing part 11 and the wire engaging part 13 with a variable posture with respect to the fixing part 11, a first inertial sensor 14 which is installed on the connecting part 12 and detects a first roll angle S1r and a first pitch angle S1p with respect to the gravity direction, a second inertial sensor 15 installed on the fixing part 11 to detect a second roll angle S2r and a second pitch angle S2p with respect to the gravity direction, and a control unit 16 that obtains a swing angle using the angle value obtained by subtracting the second roll angle S2r from the first roll angle S1r, or the angle value obtained by subtracting the second pitch angle S2p from the first pitch angle S1p.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
