To provide an article conveyance system capable of conveying a large-size article while avoiding increase in size of an article conveyance robot, and also capable of more effectively utilizing the article conveyance robot.SOLUTION: An article conveyance system 10 includes a storage box 14r, and two article conveyance robots 12 conveying one storage box 14r through cooperation. The storage box 14r includes: an intermediate member 62 capable of change between a developing condition becoming a tunnel shape penetrating in a cross direction and a folded condition in which its peripheral wall is folded in the cross direction; and a pair of end part units 60 connected to both ends in the cross direction of the intermediate member 62. Each of the article conveyance robots 12 includes: a holding part 20 capable of simultaneously holding at least two end part units 60 while placed side by side in the cross direction; and a travelling part 18 provided on the lower side of the holding part 20.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
