To provide an article conveying facility in which a tension between conveying carriages when the conveying carriages travel can be detected.SOLUTION: In an article conveying facility 10, a plurality of conveying carriages 22 for conveying an article 90 are joined to each other, and the plurality of joined conveying carriages 22 travel along a conveying path K. The conveying carriage 22 is joined to other front and rear conveying carriages 22 in the travelling direction H by a connection part 27. The conveying carriage 22 comprises a load cell 31 which is disposed on the connection part 27 and measures a force applied between the carriages 22, and a controller 37 for calculating a force F applied to a wheel 23A of the conveying carriage 22 on the basis of a tension T between the conveying carriages 22 calculated from the force applied between the conveying carriages 22 measured by the load cell 31.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
