An article transport facility is provided with: a transport vehicle (2) that travels along a predetermined travel path (1) and transports articles; an unmanned aerial vehicle (3) that flies along an arbitrary path and conveys articles; a transfer unit (5) for transferring articles between the transport vehicle (2) and the unmanned aerial vehicle (3); and a storage device (6) that is disposed at a position along the travel path (1) and that stores the articles, the storage device (6) having a transport-in section (6b) into which the transport vehicle (2) transports the articles, a transport-out section (6c) from which the transport vehicle (2) transports the articles, at least one storage position (6a) at which the articles are stored, and a transport device (32) that transports the articles from the transport-in section (6b) to the transport-out section (6c) via the storage position (6a). The transport vehicle (2) transports the articles from the delivery unit (6c) to the delivery unit (5), and the unmanned aerial vehicle (3) transports the articles from the storage position (6a) to the delivery unit (5).
