To provide a pantograph abnormality detection method and the like that can detect abnormality such as stepped abrasion generated on a pantograph contact strip and falling off of the contact strip with high accuracy even when speeds of vehicles to be detected differ greatly.SOLUTION: A method for detecting an abnormality of a pantograph includes: measuring a change in lateral tension acting on a curved pull-off or a steady arm that supports a trolley wire sliding with the pantograph in a direction perpendicular to rails, and a speed of the pantograph; in association with the speed, setting multiple thresholds for the lateral tension; and when the absolute value of the lateral tension exceeds a threshold value corresponding to the speed at the time of measurement of the lateral tension, determining that there is a possibility of abnormality in the pantograph.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13

    【課題】パンタグラフすり板に発生する段付摩耗やすり板の脱落などの異常を、検知対象車両の速度が大きく異なる場合にも、洩れなく高い精度で検知できるパンタグラフ異常検知方法等を提供する。【解決手段】パンタグラフの異常を検知する方法を、パンタグラフとしゅう動するトロリ線をレール直角方向に支持する曲線引金具又は振止金具に作用する横張力の変化、並びに、前記パンタグラフの速度を測定し、速度と関連させて、横張力についての複数の閾値を設定しておき、横張力の絶対値が、横張力を測定した時点の速度に対応した閾値を超える場合に、パンタグラフに異常可能性有りと判定する。【選択図】図13
