To provide a target track follow-up control device and a target track follow-up control method that can suppress interruption of follow-up control and continuously execute follow-up control.SOLUTION: A target track follow-up control device 100 includes: a target object state amount acquisition part 1 for acquiring relative positions between an own vehicle and a target object; a target object state amount storage part 7 for storing the relative positions; a vehicle state amount acquisition part 2 for acquiring a vehicle state amount of the own vehicle; a target track calculation part 3 for calculating a target track based on the relative positions and the vehicle state amount; a control instruction generation part 4 for determining whether or not the relative position where the own vehicle has not passed exists of the relative positions stored in the target object state amount storage part 7, and, if the relative position where the own vehicle has not passed exists, generating a control continuation instruction; and a vehicle control part 5 for, upon reception of the control continuation instruction, controlling the own vehicle so that the own vehicle follows up the target track.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】本発明は、追従制御が中断されることを抑制し、継続的に追従制御を行うことが可能な目標軌跡追従制御装置および目標軌跡追従制御方法の提供を目的とする。【解決手段】目標軌跡追従制御装置100は、自車と目標対象との相対位置を取得する目標対象状態量取得部1と、相対位置を記憶する目標対象状態量記憶部7と、自車の車両状態量を取得する車両状態量取得部2と、相対位置および車両状態量に基づいて目標軌跡を演算する目標軌跡演算部3と、目標対象状態量記憶部7に記憶されている相対位置のうちで自車が通過していない相対位置が存在するか判定を行い、自車が通過していない相対位置が存在する場合に制御継続指示を生成する制御指示生成部4と、制御継続指示を受けて自車が目標軌跡に追従するように自車を制御する車両制御部5と、を備える。【選択図】図1
