PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wall surface adsorptive traveling device that travels while sustaining adsorption to a wall surface even if the wall surface has a dent or through hole.SOLUTION: A wall surface adsorptive traveling device 10 includes: a main unit including first and second suction chambers 50a and 50b that have a concave shape and are formed on a sliding contact surface SS which slides in contact with a wall surface during traveling, a partition 50e that separates the first suction chamber 50a from the second suction chamber 50b, and a suction port 42a that communicates with the first suction chamber 50a and is connected to a suction apparatus; a pressure sensor that detects the pressure in the second suction chamber 50b; and rolling bodies 14a and 14b that roll on the wall surface. The air in the first suction chamber 50a is sucked into the suction apparatus, which is connected to the suction port 42a, through the suction port 42a. The air in the second suction chamber 50b is sucked through a gap between each of the suction port 42a, the first suction chamber 50a, and the partition 50e and the wall surface WS. At least part of the second suction chamber 50b is located ahead of the first suction chamber 50a in a traveling direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】壁面上にへこみや貫通穴があっても該壁面との吸着を維持しつつ走行する壁面吸着走行装置を提供する。【解決手段】壁面吸着走行装置10は、走行時に壁面に摺接する摺接面SSに形成された凹部状の第1および第2の負圧室50a、50b、第1の負圧室50aと第2の負圧室50bとを隔てる隔壁部50e、および第1の負圧室50aに連通して且つ吸引装置に接続される吸引口42aを備える本体と、第2の負圧室50b内の圧力を検出する圧力センサと、壁面上を転動する転動体14A、14Bとを有する。吸引口42aに接続されている吸引装置に、第1の負圧室50aの空気が吸引口42aを介して吸引されるとともに、第2の負圧室50bの空気が、吸引口42a、第1の負圧室50a、および隔壁部50eと壁面WSとの間のすきまを介して吸引される。第2の負圧室50bの少なくとも一部は、第1の負圧室50aに対して走行方向前側に位置する。【選択図】図2
