To provide a wall surface traveling device that can smoothly travel while stably adsorbing on a furnace wall.SOLUTION: A wall surface traveling device comprises a vacuum chamber comprising an opening part opposed to a furnace wall W, a driving part for moving the vacuum chamber along the furnace wall, and an annular seal member S arranged so as to expand to the outside from an edge part of the opening part. The seal member comprises a fiber sheet S1, and an elastic layer S2 provided on the fiber sheet on the side of the furnace wall, and made of an elastomer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
