PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively attenuate the vibration of a vehicle body while effectively reducing an impact imparted to the vehicle body when front wheels pass prescribed vertical displaceable points without the need for detecting a vehicle body status of the vehicle body such as a relative speed between the vehicle body and the wheels.SOLUTION: An attenuation control device for a vehicle has a control device for storing a reference time Twd which is set to a value within a prescribed range including times Tw0 of resonance frequencies of front wheels. When the control device determines that prescribed vertical displaceable points exist in front of the front wheels on the basis of a detection result of a preview sensor (S30), the control device sets an attenuation coefficient C of a shock absorber to a minimum value C0 prior to timing at which the front wheels arrive at the prescribed vertical displaceable points (S90, 130), and when a prescribed lapse time Tc based on the reference time Twd elapses after the timing, the control device returns the control of the attenuation coefficient to control which follows a prescribed control rule (S120, S140).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】車体と車輪との間の相対速度などの車体の振動状況を検出することなく、前輪が所定の上下変位箇所を通過する際に車体に与えられる衝撃を効果的に低減しつつ車体の振動を効果的に減衰させること【解決手段】車両用減衰力制御装置は、前輪の共振周期の時間Tw0を含む所定の範囲内の値に設定された基準の時間Twdを記憶する制御装置を有する。制御装置は、プレビューセンサの検出結果に基づいて、前輪の前方に所定の上下変位箇所があると判定したときには(S30)、前輪が所定の上下変位箇所に到達するタイミングまでにショックアブソーバの減衰係数Cを最小値C0に設定し(S90、130)、上記タイミングから基準の時間Twdに基づく所定の経過時間Tcが経過したときに、減衰係数の制御を所定の制御則に従う制御に戻す(S120、140)。【選択図】図5
