PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device or the like of an attenuation force variable damper in which a high-current energization state to an electromagnetic valve is hardly continued, and also a coil is hardly short-circuited when using the electromagnetic valve for changing a cross section area of a flow passage.SOLUTION: A control device of an attenuation force variable damper comprises: a target current decision part 161 which decides a target current ITA supplied to a solenoid valve which controls an attenuation force of the attenuation force variable damper; an upper limit setting part 163 which sets an upper limit value of a current supplied to the solenoid valve; and a supply current decision part 166 which decides the target current ITA and a supply current ITF from the upper limit value. The upper limit setting part 163 comprises: a first upper limit setting part 163b which decides the upper limit value on the basis of an actual current IM; a second upper limit setting part 163c which decides the upper limit value from a resistance value acquired from the actual current IM and an actual voltage VM; and a selectin part 163a which selects these items.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
