PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel attenuation force adjusting-type damper which can suppress noise and vibration accompanied by a change of a flow of a working fluid in the damper at an operation to the minimum.SOLUTION: An attenuation force adjusting-type damper comprises: a main valve 41 for regulating a flow of a working fluid to the other side chamber from one side chamber; a pilot chamber for energizing the main valve 41 in a valve closing direction; an introduction path resistance element 25 for introducing the flow of the working fluid in one side chamber into the pilot chamber by limiting it; and a control valve which can adjust pressure in the pilot chamber by controlling the flow of the working fluid flowing into the pilot chamber via the introduction path resistance element 25 to the other side chamber. The control valve has a linear solenoid 70, a movable element 73 which is driven by the linear solenoid 70 in an axial direction, a valve body arranged at one end of the movable element 73, and a valve seat on which the valve body is seated, and which opens and closes a communication path 41G for making the pilot chamber and the other side chamber communicate with each other.
