The invention relates to a pneumatic vehicle tyre comprising a tread having at least one shoulder-side tread rib (1) which is delimited by a circumferential groove (2) and has transverse grooves (3) which end in front of the circumferential groove (2) and have transverse groove flanks (7, 8) and transverse groove edges (4, 5). One additional groove (10) adjoins the tread-inner-face end of each transverse groove (3), ends inside the shoulder-side tread rib (1), extends, in plan view, at an angle (δ) of up to ±35° in relation to the circumferential direction, and has a tread-inner-face groove flank (12a) ending at a tread-inner-face groove edge (11a), a tread-outer-face groove flank (12b) ending at a tread-outer-face groove edge (11b), and a groove base (12c) having a mouth edge (12c') along the transverse groove (3). On at least one transverse groove flank (7) of each transverse groove (3), a chamfer edge (7a') of a chamfer (7a) is placed at the transverse groove flank (7), which chamfer forms an inclined face and extends up to the transverse groove edge (4). An outwardly curved corner face (13) is formed at the mouth of the additional groove (10), extends between the tread-outer-face groove flank (12b) of the additional groove and the chamfer (7a) placed at the transverse groove flank (7), comprises, on the rib outer face (1a), a radially outer delimiting edge (13a) extending between the tread-outer-face groove edge (11b) of the additional groove (10) and the transverse groove edge (4) up to which the chamfer (7a) extends, and comprises, on the transverse groove flank (7) at which the chamfer (7a) is placed, a radially inner delimiting edge (13b) extending up to the chamfer edge (7a'). The corner face (13) is curved in such a way that its radially outer delimiting edge (13a) extends, in plan view, in the shape of an arc, and its radially inner delimiting edge (13b) extends from the chamfer edge (7a') radially inwards in the shape of an arc and extends towards the mouth edge (12c') of the groove base (12c) towards the additional groove (10).
