Provided is a travel control device capable of reducing lane changes unexpected by a driver in front of and behind a non-lane section. A travel control device is provided with: a first specifying unit that specifies a current lane in which a vehicle is traveling, in a first lane section having a plurality of lanes in which the vehicle is traveling; a non-lane section detection unit that detects a non-lane section that does not have a lane and that is sandwiched between a first lane section and a second lane section that has a plurality of lanes less than the number of lanes included in the first lane section, in front within a predetermined distance from the current position of the vehicle; a second specifying unit that specifies a lane having a starting point at which the distance from the end point of the current lane is the shortest from among a plurality of lanes included in the second lane section; and a selection unit that preferentially selects, as a route in the non-lane section, a route connecting the end point of the current lane and the start point of the lane determined in the second lane section.
