The invention belongs to the technical field of unmanned aerial vehicles, and provides an unmanned aerial vehicle nest centering mechanism and a centering method. The centering mechanism comprises a flying platform, a push rod assembly, a guide rail assembly, a transmission mechanism and a driving mechanism, and the push rod assembly is installed on the landing surface of the flying platform; and the push rod assembly comprises a plurality of push rod bodies distributed around the center position of the landing surface of the flying platform, the push rod bodies move oppositely or relatively along the rail body of the guide rail assembly, the transmission mechanism is connected with the push rod bodies and located at one ends of the push rod bodies, and the back surface of the landing surface of the flying platform is provided with a driving mechanism connected with the transmission mechanism. The centering problem of the unmanned aerial vehicle in the homing process is solved, the structural complexity of the nest centering mechanism is reduced, the mass proportion is low, the cost of the nest centering mechanism is reduced, and the advantages that the nest centering mechanism is efficient, reliable, light in weight, safe and stable in structure and easy to produce, install and maintain are achieved; and safety guarantee is provided for return flight of the unmanned aerial vehicle.
