The invention discloses an energy management system and a control method thereof. The energy management system is used for a fuel cell automobile power system and comprises a first-type energy storage device used for absorbing braking energy transmitted from a motor system when an automobile enters an electric braking state, a direct-current voltage converter which is located between the first-type energy storage device and a second-type energy storage device and used for transmitting the braking energy to the second-type energy storage device according to preset power, the second-type energy storage device which is used for absorbing and storing braking energy and providing power needed by vehicle operation for the motor system through cooperation with a fuel cell when the vehicle enters a starting or normal driving state, and a fuel cell. Braking energy can be fully recovered, and the service life and durability of the fuel cell can be improved.

    本发明公开了一种能量管理系统及其控制方法,能量管理系统用于燃料电池汽车动力系统,包括:第一类储能装置,其用于在车辆进入电制动状态时,吸收从电机系统传输的制动能量;直流电压转换器,其位于第一类储能装置和第二类储能装置之间,用于按照预设功率将制动能量传递至第二类储能装置;第二类储能装置,其用于吸收制动能量并存储,以及在车辆进入起步或正常行驶状态时通过与燃料电池的配合来向电机系统提供车辆运行所需功率;燃料电池。本发明可充分回收制动能量,能够提升燃料电池寿命和耐久性。
