Compared with the prior art, the rail holding lock has the beneficial effects that the rail holding lock is provided with the bending portions, wheels of a rail locomotive are prevented from derailing through cooperation of the bending portions and the rail head of the rail, and the locomotive is made to run more safely. The left locking portion and the right locking portion are arranged on the two sides of the rail, the rail holding lock does not need to be mounted from the broken head of the rail, and operation is easier if the rail holding lock is directly mounted from the side faces of the rail.
