This chapter investigates the mechanical behavior of corrugated or meander springs. A meander‐shaped spring is the folded form of an elongated leaf spring connected to the chassis at its ends. Hence, the meander spring possesses a shorter length dimension and allows for packaging in the passenger car wheel suspension. The meander spring is the candidate for the replacement of helical springs because the box dimensions of both spring types are comparable. On the other side, the manufacturing of a meander spring is not as pretentious as the manufacturing of a helical spring made of composite material. This chapter explains the function of meander springs, their stiffness calculation and buckling behavior.
