Monitoring vehicles can significantly contribute to the improvement of our quality of life. Home automobile tracking simplifies and enhances the driving experience, enabling individuals to stay ahead by employing a smartphone to monitor and manage their vehicles. The importance of vehicle tracking and monitoring extends across various fields and applications, supported by several key justifications. The implementation of a proficient vehicle tracking system further solidifies the advantages, employing a cost‐effective and easily deployable solution. This study uses a local server page that appears as a medium for information switches and visualization to carry out car monitoring and monitoring structures integrated with a smartphone application with a microcontroller NodeMCU, utilizing Global Positioning System (GPS) and Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) technology for real‐time tracking. The GPS module, controlled by a NodeMCU, regularly provides geographic coordinates, while the GSM module transmits and updates the vehicle's location.
Additionally, the device offers various driver aid measures, such as monitoring the motors’ separation, engine temperature, alcohol intake, vehicles’ proximity which is facilitated by an installed ultrasonic sensor in the front part of the car and an embedded temperature sensor which detects rising temperature. This cutting‐edge device ensures both the security of the motors and the well‐being of the driver, enabling continuous vehicle tracking with information on estimated distances and arrival times. Driver conditions are monitored in real time using sensors, with all parameters checked, and updated to the cloud; a warning message is sent via a local server page if there is an unfavorable condition. This paper substantiates the effectiveness of the system through these results and hardware implementation experience, concluding its potential impact on comprehensive vehicle monitoring and tracking.
